Weekend Recap & Meal Plan

I hope everyone had a great weekend! Our weekend was awesome and one of the most relaxing we have had since our wedding over 7 months ago!

- Friday night we got Pei Wei to-go and watched a football game. It was an early night for us because Chris was going hunting Saturday morning.

- Saturday morning was very uneventful for me! I did nothing while waiting for Chris to get home from hunting. They only got one duck, better luck next time! Later that day, we went to our new neighborhood to look at different brick colors for our house. We picked one and will hopefully get it!
(Our brick color, not our house)
We then went to the design center to get an idea of what we liked. Overwhelming does not even begin to describe that experience! I am excited about going to our meeting on Tuesday and having a designer help us! Later that night, we went to dinner at Joe T Garcia's.

-Today, we went back out to our neighborhood to finalize out brick selection and sign a paper saying what color we choose. We also looked at a few inventory homes. We are having a hard time choosing our granite color and will most likely have to upgrade, bummer. We came home and I planned meals for the week then went to the grocery store. Below is our meal plan.

We didn't do very well on the meals planned last week. We did not end up trying the crockpot orange chicken because I woke up late. I hope to do better this week...

Sunday- Dominos Pizza
Yum!! They have the new stuffed breads and they are amazing!!

Monday- Pork Tender Loin Sandwiches
This is a recipe that my dad told me about. He said it is really good and very easy. Today, I picked up a pork tenderloin, a bottle of Teriyaki marinade, hamburger buns, and a bottle of BBQ sauce. Put the marinade and tenderloin in the crockpot, cook 7 hours on low, dump the remaining marinade, shred pork and mix in BBQ sauce. Easy enough!!

Tuesday- Unsure
We have our design meeting and are not sure how long it will take.

Wednesday- Chicken Fried Steak
This is exactly as it sounds. Serving with mashed potatoes & green beans.

Thursday- Penne Pasta Bake
This is a new recipe from Chef In Training.

Friday- Saturday- I don't like to plan for these days because what I plan never goes as planned.

I would lov to know what you are having for dinner this week! Have a great Monday!!

Love the brick color! And I agree about designing being overwhelming. Just really try and think of what you like (instead of what you don't, though that's good to know) and it'll all come together. Pinterest is also helpful. ;)

Definitely understand being overwhelmed during the process! However, everything will come together!! PS- love that brick color!

Love the brick color! :) And I LOVE Joe T's. (Maybe I'm late to the game or maybe I knew this, but do you live in Fort Worth?)

And since your hubby is a hunter, does he deer hunt? If so have you ever tried using venison for chicken fried steak? Its sooo yummy! :)

Love the brick color you chose! That pork sandwich sounds yummy. I like making homemade pizza's because they're so quick & easy. Hope your week is a good one!
