WILW

It is only Wednesday?!?!? This week is d-r-a-g-g-i-n-g!!! I have a super busy rest of the week and an even busier weekend but I can't wait!! I am linking up with Jamie for What I'm Loving Wednesday!
I'm loving that we are going to Houston this weekend!! We haven't been in such a long time and I am so excited to see my family!!

I'm loving the weather lately, it has been beautiful!! We are learning about plants and their parts in science and I may or may not have taken my kids out both days this week to "look at plants".

I'm loving my wonderful etsy shop. I feel like I post about this weekly and sorry if it is annoying but I am so excited, overwhelmed, busy with all of the orders coming through!

I'm loving all of the furniture that we have picked out/like for our new house. Here are a few...
(in love with this couch but Chris wants something totally different...)

I'm loving my sweet husband!
Hope you have a wonderful Wednesday!

So I definitely do not like the new blogger look! I don't know why I always click on the things that say HEY TRY THIS NEW THING!! I always end up not liking it but I guess in a few weeks we won't have a choice... Enough complaining... I am guest blogging for the amazing Leslie from Eat.Pray.Love.Run. while she is in the beautiful state of California. I absolutely love Leslie's blog and definitely recommend checking it out!!
Have a great night!

House Update

Life has been really busy lately and blogging has once again taken a backseat. I promised a house update last week and am just now getting around to it!! These pictures were taken last Sunday (3/18).

We have a roof, windows, and awesome yellow painted siding (it will be a different color in the end)
 View from kitchen into the living room
 Master Bedroom
 View from the stairs
 Covered patio
 Back of the house

Once the husband gets home from his guys weekend, we are going out there. I can't wait to see what they have done in a week!

Movie & Dreams...

I went to see the Hunger Games with a few friends last night and we went to dinner after. I was so tired even before the movie started and was dozing off at the beginning of the movie. It really was a great movie but the beginning was a little slow. Of course, the book is always better but I really feel like they did a good job recreating it. A lot of parts were taken out but the important ones were there. The characters they choose were like I imagined them being. I did feel really sick at some parts of the movie though. The scenes would move so fast and would be so close that I felt dizzy. I had to close my eyes a couple times to make the weird feeling go away. I definitely recommend seeing the movie and cannot wait for the next one to come out!!

On to my dream...Do you ever have a dream that is so real that you think it might have really happened when you wake up? Chris is out of town for the weekend with some friends. When he is gone, I don't sleep well and always have bad dreams. I don't know if this dreams came from the movie, our conversation, our the fact that March Madness is going on but it was bizarre and I really can't make this stuff up...

I don't know how we got were we were, I just remember being there. Chris was in a juvenile jail but could have guest 24 hours a day. There were competitions every day for food and if you lost you didn't eat that day. Everyone had to stay for the same amount of time but once you served your time, you had to shoot a basketball from the 3 point line to get out. If you missed the shot, you had to wait another 24 hours to try again. It was weird, scary, and I am so glad I woke up early this morning so it would stop! I had to text him this morning just to make sure he was ok...

Anyway, I hope that everyone has a great weekend! I promise a house update is coming soon like I said last week! I have been so busy with etsy orders that I have no time to blog right now!

Weekly Meal planning

I am a little late on posting our weekly meal plan! We are trying a new recipes this week and having 3 of my favorites!! I am pretty much going for an easy week this week.

Sunday- We ordered a pizza from Dominos. I was in no mood to cook and pizza sounded amazing!

This is amazing and definitely one of my favorite meals that I make. Very easy and tasty with lots leftover for lunch.
Also another good one that is great to eat the next day!
One of my least favorite things to do is boil and shred chicken but so many of my favorite meals require shredded chicken, this is yet another! These are so easy to make and so tasty. Not great for left overs but there normally are not any!!
This is the new recipe for the week. I really would like to incorporate breakfast for dinner once a week but not just your regular eggs & bacon. Hopefully this one turns out good!!

What are your plans for dinner this week?

Guest Post: Kristen!!

Hi everyone! I'm Kristen and I blog over at Joyful Ramblings.
I'm a Kansas native/Newlywed (kind of anyway)/Dog Mother/Student who loves to blog about a variety of things such as fashion, books, cooking, beauty, reviews etc. I thought today I'd share some of my reviews on luminizers!

I did a Foundation Primer review a while back, and like those, I've also gotten quite the collection of Luminizer samples.

So....here are these reviews.

And I should say that I mix it with my foundation before I apply it on my face.

{Lancome Eclat Miracle}

Honestly, not such a big fan.
It's too liquidly, I had to shake it so it wouldn't be as watery.
And it comes in white, which I also really don't like.

{Stila Illuminating Tinted Moisturizer}

It's thick, which I like.
But I honestly couldn't tell that much more of a difference with it on then without it.
Maybe you need to use more, but I don't like to use a whole lot.
 Maybe I needed to use the darker shade (there are two shades, which is nice).
I really wanted to like this, and would've if I could tell a difference. But like I said, maybe I would be able to in the darker shade.

{Clinique Up-Lighting Liquid Illuminator}

This is the only full sized one I've ever bought.
And that may have been two years ago...
I honestly haven't used it every day though. Partly because when I first bought it, I hardly used it. Then I did start using it, and then I got all these samples!
But I really like it.
You can buy it in two shades (I bought mine in Bronze). I love that you can buy it as a skin tone shade.
And I can definitely tell a difference when I use versus not.

{Brite Prep FX}

This one didn't wow me at all. It was of a medium thickness and I just could not tell a difference at all. It was a fast no for me on this product.

Thanks for hosting me Allison! :)

Guest Post: Jenn!!

Hi!
I'm Jenn and I blog over at Bliss to Bean.
I am a SAHW and am always in the kitchen!
I'm all about trying different recipes,
from easy to complex.
When I'm making 3 meals a day, I need a few simple
recipes to keep in my back pocket.

Here's one of my husband's favorites:

Level: EASY
Chicken Cordon Bleu
Ingredients:
3 slices of deli ham
3 slices of good quality Swiss cheese
3 organic chicken breasts
Panko breadcrumbs
salt/pepper
{You can adapt for however many pieces you need,
the organic chicken comes in the 3, so that's what I use}

Instructions:
Pre-heat the oven to 350 degrees
Cover a baking sheet with tinfoil for easy clean up
You'll need a mallet to pound the chicken out
and I use a ziploc bag to put the chicken in while I do so
{Put on a cutting board or towel, don't ruin your counter tops!}
Pound each breast until they're about 1/4 inch thick
Season with salt and pepper
Place the ham and cheese on chicken and roll up
Secure with 2 or 3 toothpicks
Sprinkle Panko breadcrumbs on top for a crunch
and bake for 30-35 minutes
{cheese will ooze out}
You can add a little extra cheese and
melt for 2 minutes when finished as well
I adapted the recipe from here
Serve with a salad and some crusty bread!
My husband says it tastes like lobster--not
so sure about that, but it is quite tasty!
You can play around with the flavors; try a sweet honey ham or smoked ham
You could switch up the cheese for an earthier Gruyere or sweeter kind.
It's not hard to make healthy affordable meals, just build a good library of reliable recipes.
See here for some more of mine!
Let me know if you try it, I'd love to hear!
