Weekly Meal planning

I am a little late on posting our weekly meal plan! We are trying a new recipes this week and having 3 of my favorites!! I am pretty much going for an easy week this week.

Sunday- We ordered a pizza from Dominos. I was in no mood to cook and pizza sounded amazing!

This is amazing and definitely one of my favorite meals that I make. Very easy and tasty with lots leftover for lunch.
Also another good one that is great to eat the next day!
One of my least favorite things to do is boil and shred chicken but so many of my favorite meals require shredded chicken, this is yet another! These are so easy to make and so tasty. Not great for left overs but there normally are not any!!
This is the new recipe for the week. I really would like to incorporate breakfast for dinner once a week but not just your regular eggs & bacon. Hopefully this one turns out good!!

What are your plans for dinner this week?

I hate boiling and shredding chicken too. I finally started doing the chicken in the crockpot and once it's done it literally just falls apart! :)

Hey Allison, I found your blog through J's blog. :-) I hate boiling and shredding chicken too. Such a time consuming step, especially on a weeknight.

You could try making a bunch of this chicken in your crockpot and freezing it to use in your recipes later: http://sureisgood.wordpress.com/2009/11/01/easiest-chicken-ever/

It shreds SO effortlessly and is really, really tasty. For your Tex-Mex dishes, try this version: chicken
onion
1 packet taco seasoning
margarine
water

Chop an onion and place in the bottom of the crockpot.
Lay chicken breasts on top of the onion.
Sprinkle 1 packet of taco seasoning over the chicken.
Pour about a 1/4 to 1/2 cup water over.
Put about a Tbsp of margarine on top of the chicken then close the lid.
Cook on high for 4 hours.

Either freezes really well and saves so much time during the week.
