School is back in session...

To say I am tired today would be the biggest understatement of the year! I have been saying all summer that I was ready to get back into a schedule, meet my new first graders, and start a new year of teaching. I still am so excited about all of that but oh my gosh, I am exhausted and it is only Monday. It must be something about sitting in a meeting from 8-4 that does it to me?!?!? 
I have a wonderful weekend recap to post but do not have the energy to do it now! I want to curl up on the couch and cuddle with my dogs until my husband gets home and then with him! Instead, I have 1,001 things on my to-do list and a puppy that has been locked in her kennel most of the day. 
Meals for the week are below:
Sunday-  Pei Wei with my mom 
Monday-  Taco Junk. This is one of the easiest and best recipes I can make and I am so glad I saved it for today.  Brown 1lb ground beef, stir in 1 package of taco seasoning, can of corn, can of black beans, can of rotel and serve over rice and fritos with cheese. YUM & easy!
Tuesday-  Crockpot Pork Chops

Wednesday- Texas Roadhouse
Thursday-  Chicken Tamale Casserole 

Friday- Saturday Going to Houston for the weekend so who knows what the weekend will hold!

Another Sunday is here and I am linking up with Neely & Ashley for week 11 of Sunday Social. I have been MIA this week because I have been incredibly busy with school stuff. I can't believe this is the last day of my summer break... Mixed feelings all around!
Here are the questions and my answers for this week!!

1. What were you like in Middle School/HS?(pictures)

Oh gosh, I look back at pictures and think what was going through my head and did I really look like that?!? I had been a dancer my entire life but when my parents divorced, I quit. We had to move and when we did it was to far from the studio I had been going to for 9 years. If you can call it rebelling, I did. I quit dance and joined band (insert jokes here...). Band was not a horrible experience, just not what I had envisioned for myself and high school. I am not sure that I have any pictures on this computer but trust me, I was a hot mess! These pictures were from Senior year of high school.

2.  What were your favorite past times?

I have a lot of great memories from junior/high school but one that sticks out the most was spending so much time with my best friends from high school Jennifer & Janelle. We did everything together!! We were life guards together, worked at Texas Roadhouse, were in band, it was like we had 3 moms because we spent so much time at each others houses. Lots of special memories with those two!!

Anything by Boys II Men, Backstreet Boys, Brittany Spears lol the taste in music I had!

SCRUNCHES! Enough said! 

5. Who was your celeb crush?

Probably anyone from a male band.

6. What were your favorite tv shows/movies?

Full House, Rescue 911, Fresh Prince of Bellaire to name a few.

Weekly Meal Plan

Our meals this week are easy, unhealthy and fast. This week is my last week of freedom and the last thing I want to do is spend it in the kitchen! Inservice starts next week and then school starts the next. I am ready to get back into a schedule but it is getting more real now. I have said most of the summer that I can't wait to go back but I may not be as ready as I though! More on that in another post.
Here is what we are having this week: 
Mon.- Cheesy Enchilada Casserole

Tues.- Crock Pot Chicken Enchilada Soup

Wed.-  Texas Roadhouse
Thurs.- Breakfast Casserole & Fruit

Fri.- Chicken Enchilada Puffs

WILW & Oh, How Pinteresting

I can't believe it is yet another Wednesday and time to link up with Jamie & Michelle! The weeks are flying by lately which is good and bad. I am so ready to go back to school. The anticipation I feel will go away, the little faces that I will see for a year, the friends I will see everyday and being in a routine excite me!! Waking up at 6 again, grading papers, dealing with crap that doesn't need to be dealt with does not excite me so much! Anyway on to what I am loving and some awesome pinterest finds!!

I'm loving the new shirts for sale in my etsy store & how busy it has kept me the last few weeks of summer.

I'm loving my new finds to help decorate our house. Now, I just need to find the perfect place for them. 

I'm loving that my birthday is less than a month away. I definitely have some ideas for what I want/need. 
I'm loving all of the family time we have had lately. My family was here this past week & Chris's family will be here this weekend. 
I'm loving that school is starting soon! As if you can't tell from my blog, I like to stay busy and I am about out of things to do!

Weekend Recap & Meals for the week

This post is a day late!! This weekend and yesterday, I was super busy and didn't have a chance to get it together!
My family came up last Wednesday and stayed through Saturday morning. I was thinking that it was a really long time but then was really sad when they left. I have a 7 year old little sister and an 11 year old little brother. Having them and my dad and stepmom here was so much fun and I shed a few tears when they left. We went to Roadhouse one night, I made meatballs another, and then we went back to Matt's the last night. Good times with the family is always good for the soul!! & I was a bad blogger and didn't take any pictures, bummer!
Saturday- Chris went skeet shooting while I lounged around the house. It was very quiet compared to the days before so I was able to nap and relax. That night a friend of ours came over with a new girl for us to meet. He is older but has a thing for younger girls. Weird to me and it is hard to have a connection with a 20 year old... but it was fun none the less and we grilled burgers which are my fav!
Sunday- We slept in (since we hadn't been able to for the past few days) & did a lot of nothing! We went to Fry's and bought a new TV for the game room which is finally coming together. I will post pics soon! & I think I did 7 loads of laundry and was still not done. Chris doesn't dry his shirts the whole way so we spent a lot of time hanging them. Over 60 shirts were washed...we definitely needed to do laundry!
Our meal plan is pretty boring this week but it is a meal plan at least!
Sunday- We had Pei Wei. It is quickly becoming one of my favorite places to eat.
Monday- Southwestern Queso Pasta

Tuesday-  Breakfast for dinner- eggs, bacon, and pancakes!
Wednesday-  Texas Roadhouse
Thursday- Salisbury Steak 

Friday-Saturday- Chris's dad, stepmom, and grandma are coming up so I am sure there will be grilling and us going out to eat on the menu!

1. What is your favorite Fall activity?

We are huge A&M football fans!! We graduated in '08 and have been season ticket holders since. Our favorite Fall activity is definitely tailgating before the home football games. 

2. Do you follow a football team? if so which one and why?

Well, I guess I answered this question above. We follow the Texas A&M Aggies. This season will be a new adventure that we are definitely looking forward to!

3. What is something fun about Fall in your area?

The weather is finally cooler... I don't know if that is considered fun lol but it sure is nice to be able to go outside and enjoy yourself! 

4. Fav. Fall outfit staples?

Hmm... Skinny jeans, boots, cardigans

5. Thing you are looking forward to most about this coming Fall season?

Besides what I have already said above, I am looking forward to:

-Decorating our house for the first time. Halloween and Thanksgiving will be festive around here because I have decorations and ideas that I have always wanted to use!

- Spending time with my family 

- Cooler weather!

6. Favorite Fall holiday? Traditions?

My favorite Fall holiday is definitely Thanksgiving. What other holiday is there that you spend time with your family and get to eat as much as you could ever want to!!

Spending time with our families. This is our second year to be married during the holidays so we are still making our own traditions!

It's been another week already, I can't believe how quickly this summer is going. Also, that my summer vacation is almost over!! I definitely have mixed feelings about it.
Here is what I am loving this week:

I'm loving my new blog design!!
I'm loving that my dad, stepmom, and little brother & sister are coming tonight and staying through Sunday. That is a long time but so excited to see them!
I'm loving are new pool table!

I'm loving that we have for sure picked our bedroom furniture and rug for our living room. Hopefully they will be ordered soon. Ready to make some progress on this white, plain house of ours. 
I'm loving that I got to go to the lake with some great friends yesterday and that I am having lunch with some more today!
I'm loving all of the back to school stuff that I am seeing out everywhere. As if Target isn't dangerous enough...
I'm loving the new Scentsy catalog that came out yesterday! It will be getting it's on post soon!
I'm loving that my birthday is next month. I have definitely begun making my list!
